Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the indictment of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a known MS-13 gang member, on charges of human trafficking involving children, as well as conspiracy.

The Salvadoran national, previously deported in March, was brought back to the U.S. to face justice following a Supreme Court ruling.

Noem slammed the media and Democrats for “glorifying” Abrego Garcia, a serial domestic abuser and human trafficker of children, over the past two months, accusing them of undermining national security. “Justice awaits this dangerous criminal,” Noem declared on X, highlighting the Trump administration’s aggressive stance against gang-related crime.

The indictment stems from Abrego Garcia’s alleged human trafficking, including children, in Tennessee, exploiting immigrants for profit.

The case reflects DHS’s resolve to dismantle MS-13 networks and protect American communities.
