Project SERV Funds Target Kerr County to Support Students’ Mental Health, School Reopening

The U.S. Department of Education has allocated a $250,000 Project SERV grant to aid Texas communities reeling from catastrophic flooding in Kerr County, announced July 18, 2025.

The funds, pre-approved for the Texas Education Agency, will provide mental health support and ensure schools reopen on time in August, addressing the trauma of a disaster that claimed at least 121 lives, including dozens of children.
