New TSA initiative offers dedicated lanes and discounted PreCheck fees, prioritizing traveler convenience
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) unveiled the “Families on the Fly” campaign, a TSA initiative to streamline airport security for families and military personnel.
Dedicated family lanes and expedited TSA PreCheck access for service members debuted at Orlando International (MCO) and Charlotte-Douglas International (CLT) airports, with expansions planned for John Wayne (SNA) and Daniel K. Inouye (HNL) airports, among others.
TSA Administrator Adam Stahl emphasized reducing family travel stress while maintaining security.
A forthcoming discount on TSA PreCheck fees for families and free enrollment for military and Department of Defense staff using their DOD ID aim to enhance accessibility.
Following the “Serve with Honor, Travel with Ease” campaign, this initiative reflects DHS’s push for hospitality at 435 airports, addressing growing traveler demands for efficiency and dignity.
