USDA’s Weeklong Celebration on National Mall Showcases Farmers and American Spirit
On July 23, 2025, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins proudly unveiled the Great American Farmers Market, a vibrant weeklong tribute to the heart of American agriculture, set for the National Mall from August 3-8, 2025.
Coinciding with National Farmers Market Week and America’s 250th anniversary, this historic event will unite over 50 daily vendors from 28 states, showcasing bountiful seasonal produce, artisanal baked goods, premium meats, farm-fresh dairy, and sizzling hot meals.
Secretary Rollins celebrates President Trump’s unwavering support for farmers, highlighting tax cuts and the “One Big Beautiful Bill” to strengthen the farm safety net.
With patriotic programming, including ribbon cuttings, cooking demos, faith-based fellowship, and family-friendly activities, the market honors the resilience and dedication of America’s farmers, uniting the nation in gratitude for their role in feeding our land of liberty.
Sunday, August 3 – America Grows: 250 Years of Liberty and Agriculture
The market opens with a grand ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:00 p.m. ET, filled with live music and patriotic tributes celebrating America’s 250th birthday.
Honoring the nation’s founding spirit and agricultural heritage, the day features vibrant performances, tractor displays, and kid-focused activities, uniting families in pride for America’s enduring legacy.
Monday, August 4 – Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Monday
This day celebrates the connection between agriculture and vitality, with inspiring cooking demonstrations by Secretaries Rollins and Kennedy.
Family-friendly wellness activities, including sunset goat yoga and a “small bites” demo by Common Threads with snacks for kids, highlight America’s commitment to health and prosperity through its bountiful harvests.
Tuesday, August 5 – Faith and Fellowship Tuesday

Embracing the splendor of our nation, this day features seed-planting for kids, garden tours, and a special visit from a George Washington impersonator sharing the tale of his 250-year-old cherries.

Friday, August 8 – Farmer First Friday
