Rick Stockburger to Lead FESI in Accelerating U.S. Energy Technology

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has tapped Rick Stockburger, a decorated U.S. Army combat veteran and energy innovation leader, as the inaugural CEO of the Foundation for Energy Security and Innovation (FESI).

Stockburger, previously head of BRITE Energy Innovators in Warren, Ohio, drove over $250 million in economic impact by scaling energy startups.

FESI, authorized by the 2022 CHIPS and Science Act, aims to fast-track energy technology commercialization and bolster public-private partnerships.
