U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), alongside federal partners, arrested 17 illegal aliens during a worksite inspection at the Five 10 Flats apartment complex in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The operation, led by ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Philadelphia Allentown office, targeted immigration violations at the unoccupied property under restoration. The arrested individuals included 13 Venezuelans, two Mexicans, one Ecuadorian, and one Nicaraguan, all detained for administrative immigration violations.

HSI Special Agent in Charge Edward V. Owens emphasized the operation’s role in ensuring worksite compliance, stating, “Inspections like these are critical in targeting illegal employment practices that undermine American workers and destabilize labor markets.”

Partnering agencies included Enforcement and Removal Operations, ATF, DEA, IRS, and FBI.

ICE continues to enforce federal employment eligibility laws to protect public safety, national security, and economic stability through such initiatives.
