Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) deputies have dismantled a shoplifting ring, recovering over $5,000 in stolen makeup from two King Soopers locations.
The incident began on June 18 at 3:30 p.m. when a theft was reported at the Centennial store on S. Holly St. Shortly after, another theft was underway at the Highlands Ranch store on S. Quebec St., prompting a swift response from ACSO and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
Four suspects, two adults and two juveniles, were arrested after being monitored by Kroger surveillance for prior fraud. The group concealed makeup under their clothing and attempted to flee.
A search of their vehicle revealed two trash bags filled with stolen cosmetics. Charges including theft, conspiracy, and concealment of goods are pending.
ACSO thanked Douglas County deputies for their collaboration, reinforcing the ongoing effort to combat organized retail crime. The suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
