Israeli Comrades Marathon Runners Doxxed by ANC and Harassed by Pro-Palestinian Protestors

In a controversial move, the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) in KwaZulu-Natal doxxed six Israeli participants in the 2025 Comrades Marathon, publishing their names and race numbers.

This exposure led to harassment by pro-Hamas Palestinian protesters, who waved flags and obstructed the runners during the event, as captured on video.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) appeared complacent, failing to effectively remove protesters from the race path, endangering the athletes.

Such doxxing risks personal safety and could incite further targeted actions, highlighting the intersection of sports and politics.

The incident underscores ongoing tensions and the use of sporting events as protest platforms.
