The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Patience Jackson, a 33-year-old Certified Nursing Assistant at Orchard Park Health Care Center in Centennial, for the alleged abuse of a 92-year-old woman with severe dementia.

The incident, reported on May 9, 2025, involved the victim suffering a tibia-fibula fracture, which hospital staff at Sky Ridge Medical Center found inconsistent with the nursing home’s account of an unexplained injury.

Investigator VanCleave’s four-week investigation revealed that Jackson, along with Zainab Namale, a Licensed Practical Nurse, were suspected of dishonesty regarding the cause of the injuries and complicity in concealing the truth.

The injuries are believed to have occurred on May 8, 2025, due to criminal negligence, leading to charges of felony Class 5 crimes against an at-risk person for both employees.

Jackson was arrested at her home on June 11 and is held on a $2,500 bond at the Arapahoe County Detention Facility.

An active warrant remains for Namale. The Sheriff’s Office emphasizes the importance of reporting elder abuse, urging the public to contact local law enforcement or the County Department of Adult Protective Services to ensure the safety of vulnerable citizens.

This case remains under investigation, with more arrests expected.
