David J. Freeman, known to his 1.4 million followers on X as Gunther Eagleman™, has been cleared of baseless accusations leveled by online critics, according to an extensive investigation by The 47th Edition.
Freeman, a vocal conservative and “America First MAGA Patriot,” revealed his full name to The 47th Edition, providing clarity on his background and refuting claims of a criminal record and professional misconduct.
Born on July 31, 1974, Freeman, a 50-year-old father of four (two adopted), moved from California to Texas in 2007. A straight, white, Christian man, Freeman proudly outlines his beliefs: he opposes mask mandates, COVID vaccinations, funding overseas wars, and open borders. He denies the legitimacy of global warming, the January 6th events as an insurrection, and the 2020 election results, while expressing unwavering support for President Donald Trump. “I will never stop advocating for real conservative candidates, and will never give up my guns,” he explains in his X bio.
Critics on social media falsely claimed Freeman was fired from the Harker Heights Police Department after a brief three-year tenure and alleged he had a criminal record linking him to a 1995 Texas court case involving another David Freeman (without a middle name). The 47th Edition found no evidence to support these accusations. Additionally, a separate case involving a David Justin Freeman in Georgia, who was found not guilty of loitering on school premises, was unrelated, as Freeman’s middle name is not Justin, and he has never lived in Georgia.
Freeman addressed the claims directly: “There’s no smoking gun. I don’t know how anyone could adopt two children in 2012 and become a police officer in 2016 if I had stabbed or assaulted someone in 1995.” He clarified his law enforcement career, noting he graduated from the Police Academy in 2016, worked 2.5 years as an officer in the Dallas area, and then briefly joined Harker Heights for six months. Freeman explained his departure from Harker Heights was voluntary, tied to a deal to buy back a company he sold in 2014. “I resigned because running my company took all my time,” he told The 47th Edition, noting he was non-operational in other businesses during his law enforcement tenure due to non-compete agreements.
The 47th Edition reached out to the Harker Heights Police Department for comment but received no response by the time of publication. Extensive research uncovered no evidence that Freeman was fired from any law enforcement role or linked to the 1995 Texas court case. Freeman’s record shows only two speeding tickets, and he has never been charged with a crime.
The accusations against Freeman appear to be a low-effort smear campaign by internet trolls, lacking any substantiation.
With no corroborating evidence to support the claims, Gunther Eagleman stands vindicated, his reputation intact as he continues to advocate for his conservative values online.
The 47th Edition remains committed to uncovering the absolute truth and holding those who spread misinformation accountable.
