Secretary Chavez-DeRemer Unveils 63 Actions to Slash Red Tape, Spur Job Creation

The U.S. Department of Labor, led by Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, announced a sweeping plan to eliminate 63 burdensome regulations, aiming to boost job creation and economic opportunity for American workers.

The initiative, the most ambitious deregulatory effort across federal agencies, aligns with President Trump’s directive to cut ten regulations for every new rule under his “Unleashing Prosperity through Deregulation” Executive Order.

Chavez-DeRemer emphasized that these actions will remove outdated rules stifling Main Street businesses, fostering economic growth and flexibility for workers.

Deputy Secretary Keith Sonderling highlighted the plan’s focus on reversing costly regulations from past administrations to drive job and wage growth.

Building on President Trump’s first-term success, which saw 37 deregulatory actions by the Labor Department, this bold move aims to fuel an economic comeback by prioritizing American workers and businesses, ensuring regulations don’t hinder prosperity.
