A recent report reveals that over 10,000 homes, many belonging to white South African minorities, face demolition by the City of Tshwane.

This move is part of a discriminatory campaign against so-called “illegal developments,” disproportionately impacting established white communities like Kleinfontein.

Kleinfontein, a long-standing “Boere-Afrikaner” community with 600 homes, an old-age home, school, and shopping center, is deemed “doomed” as it falls outside the arbitrary “urban edge.”

This decision, coupled with drastic rate hikes, Kleinfontein’s rates bill surged from R5,230 (approximately $290 USD) to R126,148 (approximately $7,068 USD) in one month, highlights the systemic persecution faced by white minorities.

While the city claims to be addressing unapproved constructions, the focus on demolitions over regularization or streamlined approvals appears to be a targeted effort.

This aggressive stance undermines property rights and threatens to displace thousands of white South Africans from their homes and heritage.

The international community must take notice of these alarming developments.
