U.S. Coast Guard Intercepts Nine Illegal Crossings on Rio Grande

The operation involved two aliens directly apprehended by the Coast Guard, while seven others were stopped alongside Border Patrol agents.

The Rio Grande Valley Sector, covering 316 river miles, remains a critical focus for such operations, amid a 79% drop in migrant encounters in the region since May 2024, according to CBP data.
